Isn't that a MOST delightful comment to read on a quiet, gray afternoon in Maryland?? Thank you, Donna, for noticing both the temporary lack of self and the return of positivity!! You always make me smile, and I assure you that the world is a much better place with you in it, as well. Thank you so much for subscribing and commenting, it means the world.
Right? I'm not sure I portrayed that strongly enough. We were touched by a far different variation of our culture than we generally experience. It was wonderful.
Well, that explains our connection--another Virgo 😁 Happy Birthday Janice! Mine was the 15th. Many years ago I had stored a couple planks of Southern Yellow Pine in my garage for someone repairing their sailboat at the boatyard next door... lovely wood.
……I love the notion that on this teeming ant hill of activity called planet earth, of all the simultaneous activities: eating food, driving cars, playing games, doing business, making war, making love that there is only one tiny group of ants carving out a knee for a 90 year old sailboat…..
I love that vision!! We are working very hard on this precious vessel. STEADFAST knows. And so do you, how lucky we all are. THE WOODEN BOAT PHENOMENON.
Steadfast is a stunning vessel, Janice, and it's almost as though you can hear her thanking you for doing what she's needed for a long time. I think about how infrequently this kind of restoration gets to happen, human, building, boat or otherwise, and how precious that in itself is. My back tightened up a little thinking about this work. (Take care of yourselves!) And, I laughed in delight at the exchange between you and lovely folks who delivered your lumber. "What do you DO out there?" Hahah! I know you can't wait to get back to doing it. Onward!
Admittedly I cannot wait to back on the water, it has captured my soul. And STEADFAST’S soul? Yes, she knows and appreciates all we do. Waiting patiently for us to be done, even though its going to be longer than we imagined....thank you for your kind words and empathy, Elizabeth. It means the world. You never know what kindred souls will cross your path....
Yeah! She's really B A C K !
And thank you for what you do with your multi talents.......you make the world better.
Stay well. Love you.

Happy Belated Birthday! Hope to see you soon!
I always loved interacting with the Gentle People of southern Pennsylvania. The world could use a much stronger injection of their spirit.
