Janice! Thank you for participating.

We can barely say how much we love bear stories that bear witness to the beautiful connections we share with the natural world and the creatures we share it with.

"We scare the very things we seek." This is a beautiful and thought-provoking line, Janice.

Thank you for sharing this connection. Glad to know you. Glad to be among the lucky ones who know the value of these moments with our fellow creatures.

I always love a good bear story. My mom loved to watch them and couldn’t wait to tell her family and friends of her sightings and how many see saw. Wish I could hear her stories again.

Me too Debby! We do miss the storytelling of our parents, don't we? Never forgotten. I'm glad this piece brought back those memories for you! It's still permanently etched in my mind! Thank you for commenting! J

Or are there?! (https://www.glacier-national-park-travel-guide.com/colorado-is-grizzly-bear-habitat-yes-grizzly-bears-live-in-colorado.html)

I am a meat eater and as such can't take strong exception to those who hunt, but I am disgusted by anyone who does it "for sport." Game reserves? Nope. Hang the trophy but don't eat the rest? Tell me you have trouble with your ego without telling me you have trouble with your ego.

Whatever it was, this was a beautiful connection, Janice. Thanks for sharing it here. And I'll second the props for the Caravan crew!

Nice research Elizabeth! Thank you as always for your amazing curiosity and engagement. So awesome! I invited myself to Africa (story for another day) and did not realize that our RESORT was a private game 'preserve' where for thousand of dollars, up to 70k, you could shoot pretty much whatever you wanted and voila, you have a new rug and photos to prove that the guide was skilled....what an experience!! Whoa. Sidetracked!

Always a pleasure my friend!
