Another great story. Been gone from there and that area a lot of years. I’m still pretty home sick. Your stories help and I appreciate your humor. Can’t wait to see who’s next….

Characters everywhere are enhanced by humor and truth! I hope the deep south is treating you well. As you'll read this week, we have had to haul out in Cambridge for repairs. Unexpected. I'lll see what I can come up with!

Thanks, Jon, for following along.

I want to say they don't make 'em like they used to, but I know better. Jackie and Judy are exceptional, and yet we all know others who are similar, tucked into the stories and neighborhoods of our lives. Thank the stars for that! And thank you for capturing the delight of who they are here. Advil. Who knew!? 😅

You are so welcome! It's been my pleasure and privelege. They work so hard their entire lives.....

Your post last week echoed my feelings on this crazy-ass world. Very well done. Glad we are tucked here !

Still chuckling about the Advil. Evidently, it's also a good antidote for this crazy-ass world.

Another great article. Feel as though I speaking with Capt. Jackie. So where is STEADGAST now relative to Julia Rose ? Running words together is a very common thing down South. When Mother would go off with her friends, and we were asked about her, our reply, "MomNem went to town." If Mom was with my brother, "MomNSam" etc... So often several words all running together, Want to go with me = Wannagowime; "What do you want to do?" = whatauwannado My own mothers favorite response to someone when she was asked about when will you do something, she would reply "FIXNTO" so we gave her a personalized license plate that read FIX-N-2

I definitely have to lean in to catch everything they say and Tilghman is distinctive even in this area. !

Great story about the plate. My favorite is whadyasay?

Thank you as always Winston and Larry published it, too.

So pleased.
