And you look so good in them! Happy you found them and honored to read something about their history. Steadfast has never felt more appropriate.
At a gym class this week, the instructor remarked "You are in charge of your own intensity." And I, in response, said, "That needs to be the mantra for the world right now."
Why, thank you Elizabeth! Not as easy at it once was to peer around the damage but they work just grandly! Timing and intensity are everything I do believe. Always so nice to have you join my convos. Thank you! J
I love mine. Cheap aviators. Each time I put them on they give me a better view (literally and figuratively) and positive mental shift. Should be compulsory wearing for bad days. Now where are they I wonder?
Hope you found them Fi! Essential to navigating life in this day and age! So glad you engage here. All my expensive ones somehow slipped overboard so, now, I do cheap and plenty!
Janice, I believe in these moments of serendipity, too! You know I love the photograph that I see through tears of loving memories. I love your philosophy of rose colored glasses. I need to find a pair as I navigate selling my much loved home and find myself in this new chapter. Reading your words, remembering our history, was perfect for me today.
I am so pleased to hear all fo this message from you, Loretta. So many good memories and positive perspectives make things better. I wish you joy in your new surroundings, just a little shade of rosy coming your way from STEADFAST,which you are! ~J
Wow - congrats on the boat! Looking goooooood. I never had rose-colored glasses (except in my heart lol). I have yellow ones for night driving. Helps sometimes, others not. It's funny, though, that some object from the past rolls is so many poignant memories.
I hope you launch soon to find the loss of care and history that being on the water can afford. I head to Maine in 10 days. My wife will join for 3 out of 7 weeks, but I like the pace of sailing alone. I love the cold nights and brisk days of Acadia and the clear waters and the loons and owls sounding in the night and my books of poetry and short stories.
John that sounds absolutely wonderful all around. As Inwrite this we are awaiting the travel lift...with a but of nervous tension and true excitement! Have a wonderful summer, I so appreciate your comments and support, days like you describe make all this worthwhile. Thank you very much! ~J
I love the new vinyl lettering and that anticipated all most there feeling. I love the pink sunnies and the memories you shared about them and how they make you feel. I love to open my phone and see another update and story from you. Praying you have a great week. And most of all I love you!
What a generous soul you have Miss Debby....looks like we are launching today so it should be a great week indeed. Stevie is a little nervous and I'm sad your dad Steven never came over to see this beautiful work. We sent lots of photos. Sending love and so much appreciation for your support. Great stuff to read! Makes it all worthwhile. ~J
I love hearing the audio version as I also read along. There’s beauty in your voice as you tell the story , it’s not rehearsed rather it’s raw, tenderly and deep. Perhaps it’s because I know some of the memories you shared with the audience, but the emotions that controls your voice is always hard to swallow . As always it’s no surprise, a great Sunday read that I look forward to each and every week. X
What a delightful comment Leeann...I will try to read them more often as it does take on a slightly different meaning, I think, even to me, to hear it. I so appreciate being your Sunday morning read! What an honor. Thank you. ~J
Looking at the world through rose-colored glasses has helped me get through many points in my life. Perception changes everything. And, there is also science behind actual pink/rose lenses (FL-41)--they calm the autonomic nervous system by blocking short-wavelength blue and green light, which can hyper-stimulate the optic nerve. I only know that because my optician recommended them. I now wear rose-colored glasses in an attempt to turn down the dial. May your rose-colored glasses continue to soften your world, Janice 🌹
Aha! Now this I did not know, my friend! Thank you for that. I have heard that many cruise ships would tint their mirrors pink so folks looked happier and healthier ...perhaps instead of seasick....but the science behind it is fantastic.
Attitude has most certainly changed my life as well, and given me courage. I am truly happy and grateful that you are following my story. ~J
The power of positivity may be a little overused but the concept to me is very very real, and if you concur then it must be that great minds truly think alike. Thank you for your loyalty and input here, I truly appreciate it, Prue! J

Enjoy whatever celebrating you must be doing right now. I suspect it may mostly look like doing nothing. At least, I hope so!

There are days when I ned a pair of rose-colored glasses. even if it helps only a little. Some days, it only takes a little to set things right.
So true isn't it? A moment in time and a shift in perception.
Of course.
I'm getting some!
Oh yes !! Highly recommended for those big water days. ....!

Nice one today especially JA.
You never fail to make me smile, and just a little proud. Grateful for you 💛 Jeanine! ~J
There's always a need for rose-coloured glasses. I'm a firm believer...
