So well expressed. As a parent, that was raised by the most unselfish couple who took me in at age ten, in my later adult years, their unselfish love has been like a photo slowly developing revealing slowly with maturity what "LOVE" is, does, and the importance of passing it forward.

Great to hear from you Winston and thank you very much. This one tugged the heart strings for certain in lots of places. It's one of my most-used phrases, the 'I love you' one.

I'd give everything I have for one more lunch with her so that I could express my profound gratitude for what she was and what she helped me become. As well as all those too-honest comments that, I'm sure, now, were 'for my own good...' ~J

Another great writing. Something I am not good at. I loved to hear you reflect on your mom. Thank you for sharing the pictures. It made me think of my own mom.

I’m still telling friends and family about your books. I plan to order three more copies of the Jimmy Warren book to send to interested people. Keep up the good work! Sending love to you both.

You are such an amazing supporter Debby, and cannot tell you how much I appreciate it. I have heard tales of your mom AND how like her you are. It's such a compliment, isn't it? See my note above to Winston-- I'd give anything for just a little more time with mine....I'm sure you would, too. Thank you for everything. ~J

Although I never met your Mom, what a beautiful tribute. After reading your book "The New Girls " I know how much your Mom meant to you and how much she is missed. I love your writing and look forward to Sunday morning. 💞 T

This means the world, Tere, you are truly one of my local lifelines. Also ---I was humbled the other morning when you told me that you always look over at our space to check out progress--your heart is huge indeed. Thank you! ~J

Love the music -- and the book arrived yesterday!

Aha-- I await your review-- thanks Michael. The average of of those musicians must be early-70s, and they just go and go. What happens when we lose them??? ~J

Your mom was special. You treasured her as she adored and cared for you. How moving. I’m sure she’s watching over you and you should be so proud of your continuing journey learning about yourself and the beauty of the world. 💚

Miss Lindsay-- I was a born to a wonderful person and know that I am lucky in that regard. Even though I wish I had her for decades longer, it was a gift that I will always treasure, indeed. Thank you! ~J

I sure loved seeing the picture of you and Marti, called to mind some nice memories of her in my SC days. Thanks for sharing friend. xo

So great to see you here! She was a welcome addition to the world of Copper Mountain, and again, who would have ever pictured her there like who would have ever pictured me here? Or you where you are??? It's a delightful maze that life creates for us. I was blessed. Enjoy your life! I think you already do....!! ~j

Janice youn ever fail to intrigue me and make my mind move.

Miss Carolyn! That is a tremendous compliment for certain. I drove down to Tilghman Island today and thought of you both. Hope all is wonderful-- we are close to launch, my friend--so stay tuned! ~J

Marti sure was a beautiful woman. Though I had only met her once, endless stories have been told of her love for family, her passion for travel and relationships, and of her courage to start anew. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, perhaps however you are the best version of being a beautiful Wheeler Woman. I do love your passion to write for all of life’s beauty and challenges, especially when revealing your true identity and soul. Marti would be so ever proud of you as am I. X

I struggled sharing all of this and vacillated a bit on if the audience was the right one. It turns out that it was, and if we're connecting each week we might as well know each other, right? Your comment here was very impactful and I do strive to make her proud with what I do and what I have become, although as I said, I am certain both my life and my partner would take her by surprise. She would take it in stride, of course, as all we strong women do.

I so, so appreciate hearing from you here. This platform is an intriguing one and brings forth a tremendous array of characters, as does life, everywhere we turn. ~J

Well you know I am not the greatest reader of literature, but I do enjoy reading yours each week. I too am missing my Mom as I write this. I am in awe of the boat project you and Steve have taken on and all that you have accomplished. So glad that I got the chance to meet you both and look forward to reading about your adventures once Steadfast is sailing again. Hope to see you guys soon. Tell Steve I said hello. Love you guys. Dave.

Dave you are a Tilghman Island treasure and we are the lucky ones for having met you on a wonderful, close-knit, rickety dock at Severn Marine.

I'm sure we will never stop missing our moms. She taught you well that you would write these compliments--they mean so much. This rebuild project has been a long path as they all are with life's challenges; I imagine I'll call on you again for an assortment of reasons, one of which is the deep friendship we will always share. Enjoy your beautiful family. Those ladies are awaiting us. Thank you for all that you are. ~J
