We were THRILLED to be part of your celebration, to meet and mingle with those who've supported you along the way, and to take another tour of your lovingly restored Steadfast. She is absolutely worth saving. Not that you needed a crazy old coot to tell you that, but I'm glad he was there to lift up what you already understood. That kind of validation fills a soul. He's clearly one of the good guys. :)

Good guys come in all forms, don't they? Sometimes it's obvious and sometimes there's a rough exterior that needs a little, well, sanding? LOL. I always enjoy seeing you and your man together as you do certainly seem the perfect fit. What a gift. ~J

Everybody Has A Story, if we're willing to listen, and you're right, while there may be a few not worth a few minutes, most of them are surprisingly interesting. Like this mild-mannered woman I know who spent a while as a leather-wearing biker chick winning awards for physique.... ~J
And, yes, boats that originate in a forest are inherently more beautiful! It’s not my original thought, but many of the curves designed into “oil-well” boats are not natural. I think that’s why people like the “classic plastics” from the 60’s. Their lines still flow with the traditional esthetic of boat design.
The style of that is great and love the interior shots with the frames. Thanks for sending, Steve loved it and I forwarded to an 80-year old boat lover/Navy poet I met here.
I think my least favorite designs now are the square and graceless (IMHO) Catamarans that are taking over the market with their ever-increasing size. They don't look much like boats to me!
I always appreciate that you will send me something interesting, introspective and informative. Add that to the encouragement and I look forward to you staying aboard. Enjoying some water time this summer, I hope. ~J
